How do I get there?

You can take the Metro to Georgia Ave / Petworth (Green/Yellow Line). There is also a bus stop at 16th and Bucannon.

Where do I park?

Street Parking is limited to 2 hours on Monday - Saturday. Sunday is unlimited. We recommend carpooling as much as possible.

What do I eat?

14 Street has a plethora of great restaurants, from fast casual to sit-down, with lots of veg and gluten free options. Some recommended places are below, but you can always check out Yelp!

Are there any beginner classes? 

Yes, there are classes for all levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. It is recommended you attend at least 3 Acro classes before attending the event as a beginner.  Please review the schedule and registration page for more information. 

Are day passes available?

Yes, they will be available September 1st.

Will there be food and beverages at the festival?

Water will be available as well as limited beverages and snacks from our sponsors. Plan on bringing your own snacks and beverages to stay well nourished and hydrated during the festival..

How do I become a performer during the Saturday night variety show?

Can I just attend the community event?

The Saturday night community event is only available to those who purchase a full weekend pass or day pass (when available).  The Sunday jam is open to all at Meridian Hill Park (Malcom X Park) starting at 4:00 PM.

Can I volunteer or apply for a work study position?

We offer a discounted ticket in exchange for volunteer services. Contact capitalflightfestival@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer.

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?

There are a limited number of mats so it is recommended you bring your own.  

What should I bring to the festival?

Bring a yoga mat, reusable water bottle, snacks, money for lunch, towels, blanket (Thai massage), chalk or resin. 

What should I wear at the festival?

Yoga pants or workout clothes; no loose clothing or jewelry.
